You Don’t Have to Figure This Out by Yourself.
Substance use affects millions of people across New York — and most of them never get treatment. Stigma, fear of losing a job, worries about confidentiality, and the difficulty of asking for help keep people stuck for years.
At InnerCalm Wellness, we offer confidential, evidence-based outpatient care for substance use disorders. Our program is licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports. We treat people — not diagnoses.
You don’t have to hit rock bottom to deserve help. You don’t have to be ready to quit everything today. You just have to make one call.

Personalized Plan:
Built around your specific goals, substances, co-occurring conditions, and life circumstances.
Active Treatment:
Regular therapy, psychiatric appointments if medication is part of your plan, and ongoing progress review.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about addiction treatment at InnerCalm.
Isn’t medication-assisted treatment just trading one addiction for another?
No. Addiction is a medical condition, and MAT is medical treatment for it. These are FDA-approved medications, prescribed and monitored by clinicians, proven to reduce overdose risk and help people stay in recovery. Taking medication for a medical condition isn’t a new addiction — it’s treatment.
Will anyone find out I’m in treatment?
Your privacy is protected by 42 CFR Part 2 — a federal confidentiality law for substance use treatment that’s stricter than standard HIPAA. Nothing you share leaves the room without your consent.
Can I call about someone else — my son, my partner?
Yes. Family members call us every day. We can’t share information about any patient, but we can tell you about treatment options, coverage, and how to help someone take the first step.
Do you accept Medicaid and Medicare?
Yes. We accept most insurance plans, including Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare East. Call us and we’ll verify your coverage in a few minutes.
What is your Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?
Our IOP provides structured, evidence-based therapy several days per week without requiring full hospitalization. It’s ideal for patients who need more support than weekly therapy but don’t require inpatient care — treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders in Queens NY and surrounding areas.
Which locations does InnerCalm Wellness serve?
InnerCalm Wellness has three convenient locations: Hicksville, NY (serving Long Island — Nassau County, Suffolk County), Jamaica, NY (serving Queens, Brooklyn, and surrounding NYC boroughs), and Jersey City, NJ (serving Hudson County and greater Northern New Jersey).
How do I book an appointment?
You Don’t Have To Hit Bottom To Start.
